Tour Of Tasmania: Stage Ten

We are done!  The race and the season for that matter too actually.  Sitting here 10:30pm and thought I'd bust out a half awake brain cell report on today's final stage.  With nothing to lose the whole V Australia team was aggressive out there but Genesys were just too strong and kept a tight leash on everything.  It was a hard little coastline circuit and with a bit of wind up there was some nice gutter ball action out there.  Thanks to big guys like the lovable giant of the peloton Vandy who provided me a good draft on a few laps!  After 12 tough loops it was a bunch kick into the line and Bernie got up for 2nd place.  Overall despite not taking out the GC, it was a pretty darn successful tour for the team, with 4 stage wins, 3 days in yellow, numerous podium places, Best Tasmanian and Criterium Champion jersey and 3 riders inside the top 10GC - Camo 3rd, Bernie 5th and myself 9th.

As I mentioned that's stumps for season 2011 and it's back to the mainland tmw.  Lets hope the sun stays out next week cause I'm going to find me a beach somewhere to lie on.
