Turn Up The Heat.

I dont think I can remember it ever being this cold in Ferny Creek right now...maybe being away I've just skipped that natural temperature transition from autumn to winter but i am freezing my ass off here right now. Like it's beard growing weather. Seriously I'd be going there. Yesterday I went for a walk, got halfway out the gate and came back for gloves...never done that before. So for the number crunchers out there the temps have been like 4-10C up here the last few days, and for those international site visitors that like 40-48F. I think. On the bike I pulled out the ultimate glove combination the other day. My warmest two in the collection on together. Never had to go that far before (worked hell sweet, these rad liners then some massive Thinsulate bad boys) but after many winters training here it's one combo I'd never needed. Not that im complaining, i actually like winter up here, kinda nice with all the fog about and stuff.

So I leave next Sunday 24th for Europe. Madd. Will be gone for 8.5weeks all up, getting back at the end of August. Hmm I guess the beard growing will have to wait till next winter. Oh yeah, go buy Ryan Adams CD "Gold"..it rips. lator y'all, cw.

This cold weather up in the hills is death, specially when you've only got short fingered gloves!!
I love living the Dandenongs in Winter - where does the fun stop!?

Okay boys, I just had to give you a little perspective...imagine going for a ride in 20 degree temps (that's -6.67 degrees celsius) where you have to throw on every layer you own, breaking out the ski gloves and balaclava to avoid frostbite...that's cold-weather riding. Gotta love those wacky Colorado winters.
