Back To It.

It snowed over night here in Denver and made my morning commute on the scooter a little more time consuming after putting a stack of layers on. Six to be exact. I'm learning how to deal with such frosty-ness, although it was a little stingy on the face blasting through at 40mph with the falling snow. So I am back to training this week, and completed my third workout this morning. Needless to say my planning skills aren't quite there yet, having eaten all my 'normal day' food straight after my workout, forgetting that I need to pack enough for two. The legs have responded just like I thought they would after a semi active 5 weeks off. Damn, I can't believe it's been that long since the last race at Univest. Either way I'm motivated and keen to cross all the t's and dot the i's in preparation for 2010 season. I figure it's going to be a long winter if I worry about how cold/crappy/snowy/blizzard-y it might be outside, so I'll just stick the head down and get'er done. Seems like a good plan to me....cw

A Touch Of Frost.

Heading to Moab this weekend for some camping. Oh and some dirt biking.....okay plenty of dirt biking! I'm pretty excited to get outta town and head to a such a famous mtb mecca. Although I'm not sure this style of rig is allowed and would handle that great in the singletrack.

Well Denver is starting to cool down pretty quickly over the last week. Solid frost on the car the other morning and the scooter a couple of times needed to be switched to manual kick-start to fire up. As for me I'm looking forward to the change ahead, especially getting some major quality suffering outta the compu-trainer studio at work. Riding those things is a super concentrated workout with nowhere to hide...well especially when you don't go anywhere.

When Somethings Dark, Let Me Shed A Little Light On It.

Most of the time I can never really think of titles for updates these days, so i figure I will make life easy on myself and start a new trend. I'll put a line from the whatever random musical tune I am listening to at the time of writing. May make absolutely no sense but fills the box in my world. Good good. So the weekend has gone rather quickly with yesterday and today spent mostly in the yard. Yes my friends it's that part of the year where the whole "can't do any major yard work cause I gotta race tmw/this weekend/this month" excuse doesn't hold up. Actually, it's been pretty cool to finally put the shovel in the dirt and start projects. Needless to say my skinny little bike racer arms protested pretty hard, but it wasn't too long before all those digging skills from the Eva makeover and various locations back home came flooding back.

Rocks come out...

Mulch goes in...

well...soon!

Sounds pretty straight forward but the curbside bed was layered like a sponge cake where the previous owners have put weed matting, on top of mulch, on top of rocks and dirt over the years. We have a few things we want to do with the front yard so hopefully over the next few weeks things take shape.

And we played some basketball...hilarious.
